Writers' Showcase

Want to know more about the creative minds behind all those stories? I thought it would be fun and interesting to take a look behind the scenes. Every month, one of the writers will be introduced on this page.

This month's first contributor is... *drumroll please*

Your age? I'm in my early twenties.

Where do you live? I live in NZ.

How long have you been watching PLL? Since it first came out, back in 2010.

How long have you been writing? Oh, I believe since... The early 2000's.

Favorite story you have written? Um... In the PLL fandom, it would be Leather and Silk.

Current project(s)? The only thing I'm finishing up now in the PLL verse is a oneshot that is a sequel to the Leather and Silk/Tungsten and Silver fics.

Personal picks of other fanfics you have read? I don't read too many PLL fics, and I haven't read any in years, just because I've become completely invested in other fandoms. But my favourite author a while back in the PLL fandom was tvfreak13.

What attracted you to writing fanfic and what about it do you enjoy? I just love writing, and when I was younger, I wanted to expand on some fictional characters and then I discovered [fanfiction.net?]

What about PLL or its characters do you like the most? I really enjoyed the first couple of seasons of PLL, although I did find that it did start to drag after a while. There are a lot of characters I really enjoyed, although I think the writers really screwed some of them over.

How do you interpret them in your work? The main ones I write about are Hanna and Caleb, and I really like to mix it up, how I write about them, not just stick to one personality.

How did you begin writing in general? I think just the usual way that people start, at school.

What is your opinion about the following types of fanfics?

Action Love it.

Drama Love it.

Humor Don't read it.

Smut Pretty much the only one I write.

Romance Love it.

Angst Only read if there's a happy ending.

Has everything been written in your opinion and if not, what is left? I do think that most things have been written about at this point, but everyone has something a little extra to add or a little different that they want to do, so I still want to keep reading what people write.

What do you think makes the best story? Hm... Proper pacing and good grammar/spelling.

Do you have a beta reader or an editor? No.

Anything else you would like to say? No. This was fun, thanks for thinking of me :)
